CARMEL, IN — November 4, 2025 — Teamsters Local 357, representing the pilots of Republic Airways, extends its deepest condolences and unwavering support to the families, friends, and fellow crewmembers affected by the tragic loss of UPS Flight 2976.

“Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters at UPS Airlines during this painful time,” said the Executive Board of Teamsters Local 357. “The loss they’ve experienced touches all of us in the aviation community. When tragedy strikes one of us, it strikes us all.”

Local 357 also acknowledged its alumni now flying under the UPS banner. “Many of our members have gone on to serve with UPS, and they remain part of our family,” the statement continued. “We care deeply for their well-being and stand with them through this difficult moment.”

In the wake of the accident, Teamsters Local 357 has reached out to the Independent Pilots Association (IPA)—the union representing UPS pilots—offering support and assistance should they require any. “Whether through resources, connection, or compassion, we are here for you,” the Local emphasized.

The union further underscored that aviation is more than a job—it is a shared calling built on courage, skill, and solidarity. “Being a pilot is not defined by the company we work for, but by the profession we’ve chosen,” the Local’s leadership stated. “We are united by the skies we share and by the enduring commitment to safety, professionalism, and one another.”
